Testimonials from players and parents

"I have been working with Brice since I was 14, and with every session, I was pushed more and more. From technique to conditioning, Brice knew exactly what I needed to do to find the most success in my tennis career. Every day was different, but I was always learning new ways to improve my game. Whether it is was focusing on my footwork or getting more pace on my serve, Brice knew how to make it happen. Four years later, Brice helped me reach my goal in getting a full-ride scholarship to the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am so happy to be where I am today, and Brice was there every step of the way helping me get there."— Nicci Yvanovich, 2009–2010 team member at University of Texas at San Antonio; recipient of a full-ride athletic scholarship
"Brice Chevalier is one of the finer coaches I’ve had the opportunity to work with. I consider myself to be a student of the modern game, and one of the greatest advantages of working with Brice is he, unlike many other coaches, is able to accurately interpret modern technique and strategies and incorporate them into a player’s game at nearly all levels of plays. He is very supportive and dedicated to top players’ improvement, and his understanding of the modern techniques he presents make the concepts very approachable. My game has improved considerably from his coaching, and I look forward to working with him in the future."— Josh Mason, 2009–2010 team member at UC Santa Cruz
"Brice Chevalier is constantly searching and thinking of new ways to improve his students’ games. During the time Brice was my coach, he focused on seeing what my game was capable of doing and personalizes the goals and steps necessary to achieve my best possible tennis. Whether these goals took Brice and me to the gym, swimming in the ocean, or playing on the rain, he was always willing to go above and beyond. Even on top of all this he worked on my life off the court as well, helping me to be more successful with ongoing life coaching. Brice is the entire package and will bring everything and more to your game. All you need is the willingness to learn and he will take you and your game to new levels on and off the court."— Parker Larsen, 2009–2010 team member at UC Santa Cruz
"For three years, Brice helped me prepare for college tennis — and went beyond lessons on the court. He trained me at the gym and helped me with nutrition. He improved my game drastically."— Landon Brown, member of the Cabrillo College Tennis Team
"Brice has been coaching my daughters for the past three years. Tatiana (13) is a tournament player aspiring to play college tennis, and Natalia (15) plays on the high school team. As a club player in his 50s, I also take lessons with Brice to improve my game, so I see Brice in action myself. He is a dedicated, hard-working, and gifted professional. Brice’s ability to teach proper stroke technique, game strategy, and mental fortitude is unique. Developing his academy in a competitive and fun environment, clinics are geared to allow players to reach their full potential. His European and clay court experience add “flavor” to his coaching. Brice’s ability to communicate and inspire make him the coach for anyone who takes tennis seriously."— Miguel P., parent and player
"Choosing the Santa Cruz High-Performance Tennis Academy for my family was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Brice Chevalier focuses on all the aspects of tennis, including stroke development, strategy, physical conditioning, sportsmanship, and mental toughness. His stroke technique assessments are spot on, and his knowledgeable instruction results in real game improvement. Most impressive is his holistic approach, which combines expert tennis training with friendship, respect, and life lesson insights. Brice provides an environment where support and character-building are paramount, and he continues to motivate each of us to reach our individual potential in tennis as well as life."— Mary L, parent and player
